Oswaldo Guayasamín
Artistic analysis
These two portraits of the couple were painted by the ecuadorian artist Oswaldo Guayasamín. Both pieces have a cartoonish quality, likely heavily influenced by his work as a muralist, yet they capture the full range of emotion and character of the subjects.
