Artistic analysis
Eugenio depicts one of his famous bullfighting scenes, showing a bullfighter being gored in a village bullring. He uses cool colours to paint the background of the picture, whilst in the foreground we see the wounded horse, which gives way to the main scene, characterised by more vibrant colours.
