This is a copy of an engraving by Goya from his series The Bulls of Bordeaux. It is a drawing depicting a bullfighting scene, showing a bullring packed with spectators, divided down the middle to allow two bullfights to take place simultaneously. On the left-hand side, the banderillas are being placed, whilst on the right-hand side of the arena the bullfighter is preparing to deliver the final thrust and kill the bull.
