Artistic analysis

This is one of the many studies Pradilla would produce, either to use in his final paintings or simply as an exercise. It depicts a leaden, cloudy sky, where sunlight struggles to break through the stormy barrier, creating a play of unsettling light. Pradilla uses thick brushstrokes laden with paint in cool tones, creating a rainy atmosphere through the brushwork.
